For those that have been asking... Here's the new car I got on Wednesday. 😊 I wanted a 2016 Honda Civic, but they only made the manual transmission in their base model for 2016... Booooo! I looked at Hyundai reminiscing about my 2004 Tiburon GT, but sadly their whole line only had manuals in the base model... No bueno! Looked at the Chevy Cruise, rented a new one back in 2012 driving through the Smokey Mountains, absolutely loved it... But in 2016, they skimped on the looks and the whole car... Really Chevy, really!?! What's up with that!?! Look at the Mazda Mazda3, boy was it way smaller than I expected on the inside... Next! Looked at a few other makes and models but either they had no manual or only in the base or were out of my price range. 😳 I like Larry's VW Passat... But guess what? Yup, they stopped making them with a stick for 2016! Le sigh... So that left me with a VW Golf or a VW Jetta. Amenities wise for the price the Jetta won. It might have helped a bit that the word golf really doesn't do much for me either... Granted if that Golf SportWagen I might have came up with more money and changed my mind about the name! 😂 Is the Jetta everything I want in a car? Nope. But is she quite the upgrade and stepping stone from the 2004 Dodge Stratus? You bet she is! ❤️ And the fact I got to choose what I'd be driving...
