Today is a special day for all of those Veterans whether active duty, retired, disabled or passed away. Though I hope for those of us in the U.S. and from the U.S. that you think about these courageous men and women more than just today.
My husband is now a disabled Veteran. I met him while he was oversees in Iraq thanks to Yahoo Messenger. I wish I could tell you we had some story book romance... However, instead it has been a lot of hard times and heartache that has been a direct result to his service related battle wounds that we are still working through 6 years later.
These men and women join for a variety of reasons, but none can know at what price they and their families will pay immediately and longterm until those moments happen.
These men and women should be paid double for what they go through during active duty and after they have served.
Thank you to those that are brave enough and in some cases crazy enough to fight the battles for us. Blessings and love to you all, may YaHuWaH bless you and keep you!
